To make it easy, we have created three standard workshops for in-company-trainings. We also have a whole range of shorter and longer online workshops and shows. Of course, if you want a custom workshop, we can arrange that too.
Variant A: the pressure cooker - the basics of storytelling
Time: half day.
Persons: 6 to 20 (different format available for bigger group)
Description: the attendees learn a range of storytelling techniques and train those immediately. This is a light weight, playfull workshop that covers a lot of techniques in a short time. Afterwards the attendees know the ingredients of a good story and how to craft them. Furthermore, they will posess the tools to search for creative angles.
Tip: we also offer this variant in a modified, short version for large groups. It has been a proven success at conferences and 'awaydays'.
Variant B: work your own story [recommended!]
Time: 1 day + aftercare
Persons: 6 to 16 (different format available for bigger group)
Description: the first half of the day will be about the basics of storytelling. In the second half we will incorporate stories in presentations and written texts (for example in a press release or as part of an annual report). The attendees experience by peer learning and go home with nice stories.
Aftercare: after this workshop there is 'aftercare'. Each attendee has the opportunity to have an one hour consult with David or Marloes to get adviced on a personal case.
Variant C: the sequel [by popular request!]
Time: half day plus aftercare
Persons: 6 to 16 (different format available for bigger group)
Description: this workshop is designed for those who have followed 'the pressure cooker'. We will focus at presentations and written texts (for example in a press release or as part of an annual report). The attendees experience by peer learning and go home with nice stories.
Aftercare: after this workshop there is 'aftercare'. Each attendee has the opportunity to have an one hour consult with David or Marloes to get adviced on a personal case.

FAQ - frequently asked questions
Are the workshops open only to scientists?
The workshops are for anyone who wants to make science easily available.
The exercises are highly relevant for scientists and research groups, but also for communicators and press officers, for example. We tailor the workshop to the participants.
Can you also offer something for a team outing or conference?
Yes, we have special variants. For example, for a team outing of 2 to 4 hours and for a session at a conference of 45 to 60 minutes.
Can we make a presentation / article / video right away?
Yes. The longer version (1 day or split over 2 days) is suitable for using storytelling directly for a presentation, or for creating blogs or news articles for your website, or preparing a video.
How many participants can participate in a workshop?
From 4 to 100. If we are creating a product together during the workshop (article, blog, presentation), a maximum of 12 is recommended.
Can a workshop also be done online? Is it cheaper in that case?
Yes and yes. Just email us your thoughts are and we'll return you a quotation with no strings attached.
I don't organize an incompany workshop myself, but I would love to participate by myself sometime. Is that possible?
We organize an "open enrollment" workshop once a year where you can join on your own. If you are subscribed to the newsletter, you will be notified by us!
